    Description

    Two (2) Union Chief Quarter-Master Communications, September 1862
    two (2) 2-page letters, 7.5" x 4.5" folded as shown
    These two (2) handwritten communications were written on "Office Chief Quarter-Master / Department of the Gulf" printed stationery to "
    Capt. Perce" on September 2 and September 27 in New Orleans, Louisiana, then occupied by the Union Army under General Benjamin Butler. The letters are written on one side of a folded sheet, and there is dated notation on the back of the recipient on one—"Capt. Perce"—and the sender on the other.
    There is mild discoloration; one or two vertical folds in each and one has two horizontal folds: FINE condition
