    Your favor of the 24

has just been received and must say I am highly pleased to be this privileged to distribute amongst my brave men such valuable reading matter.  I shall always take pleasure in distributing anything which will be an aid to the comfort of our soldier.
I regret that I have not the full address of Miss Anna Field, the maker of one of those little note bags.  As I always feel like praising our little friends at home who are doing such little favors for the soldiers.
I would be pleased at any time to do you any favor by way of distributing anything which you may choose to send me.
Favor me with a call if you should ever come to the front.
    I am Sir,
    Very respectfully your obedient servant,
