An original Civil War letter dated 1862. At the top it has a patriotic image of a soldier and American flags.  In one area it looks like it says,........I received a letter from my brother that is in the war he says he was at pitsburg landing the time of the big fite and he says the.............he sayed it took one weak to bury the dead and it rained all the time and they have gon to ritchmond now.....................
The letter has wear and stain marks. Some of the writing is light and hard to read
