Civil War Letter
Civil War Letter and documents from Thomas Sedwick of the 139th Pennsylvania Infantry.  Excellent letter written September 28 (1862) written from his regiment's camp at Downsville, Maryland.  Rough life in camp, explains how they try to cook meat!  Includes some regimental history with names, a post war letter from Allegheny College, two patriotic covers and an archival certificate.  Nice grouping overall.  See scans for the transcript.  We also have other letters from Sedwick listed today
