DESCRIPTION:
The cover features an excellent color caricature cachet vignette of traitor Jefferson Davis as Satan holding a Confederate Flag with snake wrapped around his body, fleeing from a Union Officer holding an American Flag and Lady Liberty holding a shield and spear, with the text:
“Resist the Devil, and he will flee from you.”
The cover was designed by
G. W. Holden
, measures 5½” x 3¼” and is in Very Fine Condition, complete with backflap.
