Letter written at Miner's Hill, Virginia, Oct. 14th, 1862.  Our letter reads:
    "
    My dear little brother Joey
, I want to see you very much.  You must be a good boy and not swear or smoke.  Geno is well and sends his love to you.  I hope I shall see you soon but be the time long or short, I never shall forget
    my dear little brother, Joey
.  You must be good to
    sister Mary
    , for you know,
she is your sister and my dear wife
.  Kiss her for me.  Good night Joey.
    Your brother, Frank
    ."
To say finding a Civil War soldier letter claiming marriage to his sister is rare, would be an understatement.  This is truly a unique documentation of intrafamilial marriage.  Probably the only known document in the field of Civil War collecting!
