    Description

    Selling 17 Civil War era letters with envelopes, 19 total letters.  Most from a Charles Conover to his brother Ebenezer Conover. There are several from Washington DC,  to New Jersey during 1861-1862.
    There is also some from different battlefields. Savage Station, Tunstall Station for example.
    One I believe is to a father in the hospital.
    There are also two loose letters with no envelopes. One is from a friend , an  Engineer who was at Cumberland and then the camp at Chickamauga.
    One letter  is written on stationary from West End.
    The earlier letters are from October and November 1861 and cancellation mark is on them. The cancelled stamps haven't been examined professionally for which Scott 64 they are.
