    Description

Civil War soldier letter, Henry Tyson Rice, 45th PA, Camp near Hustonville Kentucky, 5.5 pages to his sister, I am on picket guard about a mile from camp, Ely is on cattle guard, but comes over to see the boys and get his mail, seems a bit annoyed about Em keeping his likeness from his sister, more detail that is most interesting.
Says he will go get another likeness taken and send to Lucretia and Rosetta have one, I am not going to send my likeness to any girl and then not give it up to my sisters.  They make keep till I get home and then get it myself, wants Summer W Pettes in Elysport to pay amount due on note and have the money sent to ___know, more on money.
More good content, comes with a very nice cover postmarked Hustonville Ky plus a full transcript.
