    One page, approximately 11 1/2" X 8"; folded as four pages; light ink; blind stamped; pin holes in some folds.
    7th Massachusetts Light Artillery Soldier letter mentioning Christmas and playing football!
    Letter is written from Fort Albany, Virginia, by Newman Whipple Storer who signs the letter "N.W.S.".  Storer enlisted in May, 1861, as a Corporal into the 7th Mass. Light Artillery and had worked his way up to Captain by the end of the war.
