CW Letters (2) to Pvt. "K" Co. NY 179th Inf. from his SistersOne letter is written in Oct. 1864, from Emma, who chats about how proud they are of him, then writes about people who recently died of Typhoid and of Diphtheria. And twice cautions that he tell a friend very carefully, about a family/friend who was one of those who died. The envelope is torn on one end, showing dirt, stains, bumped corners, has nice cancelation stamp on it.
The second letter is written Feb. 5, 1865 by his sister, "Lott"?. A one piece of paper, folded into 4 pages to read total. She also talks about home life - who is buried, married, and so forth, discussing family and friends. A nice home-newsy letter I'm sure James appreciated. The envelope is torn at the side, has writing across one end, showing wear and well worn, bumped corners, spotting, dirt, used.
The letters are both standard size paper folded in half to make it a 4 pages written on, that folds up nicely into the envelope. Letters shows folding, wear, written in ink.
There are copies for James Holly from CW Data.com, the New York Infantry, and etc. that I could not include in the photos, due to eBay only allowing 12 photos, but they will all be included in the package, as shown in all the photos.

Also included is the CWdata Soldier History, as well as copies of the NY 179th Infantry during the Civil War.
