2a VF used, printing 1 (Ferslews) plate I, nr. 65 with retouched crown, cancelled with uncommon number 55 (Ribe) cancel. A certificate from Carl Aage Møller is included.
The Ferslew printing (with engraved raised burelage) was, at first, cancelled with pen and ink. This proved unsatisfactory as the ink could be washed off and the stamp reused, so a mute cancel, consisting of 4 circles with a dot in the center, was put into use. The Ferslew issue was superseded by the first Thiele issue (with letter-press flat burelage) in March 1852. The first use of the number cancel by Ribe (#55) was 24 Dec. 1852. By this so time most of the Ferslew issue had been used so number cancels are uncommon.  The last line on the certificate which starts "Et bredrandet" is translated as " A wide-margined superb example with, on Ferslews printing, a seldom occurring cancel."
