    This 8 page letter is written in pencil and all is legible.  Ira says, he was on guard duty with 3 others.  They were guarding the commissary and they really enjoyed it. They got to eat bread & sugar.  Talks about the family, receiving boxes from home, pickles were broken, etc visiting others in the 89th, NYSV, etc  This letter comes with it's original envelope postmarked Washington.
