Three letters from FRANCIS, FRANK, and JOHN AUBIN written to home during the War. Francis was 44 when he enlisted, his son Frank was 21 and his other son John was 18. Francis served in the 146th NY INFANTRY.
Frank the 22nd NY INFANTRY.
John in the 97th NY INFANTRY.
John was captured 7/1/1863 at Gettysburg and died at Camp Parole at Annapolis, Md in May 1865 after his parole from prison.
Frank was wounded at South Mountain on Sept 14th, 1862 and died the following day.
Three letters, one from each of the family members in the Army.
A very rare combination of letters from one family with all the male members in the army with both son’s dying.
All letters come with covers and stamps, the letters have camp style content. The family originated from Boonville NY.
