Vintage 18" Sayco Baby Doll Restored Body 1960's Era Bubble Gum Pink TuTu CUTIE

I'm offering today a gorgeous vintage Sayco baby doll from the 1960's era.  She is vinyl with soft body which has been completely taken apart and restored.  All the horrible stuffing which was in her body for more than 60 years was painstakingly removed and replaced with nice clean poly fill.
I will start at the top of her head and work my way down so as not to omit anything in my description.  Starting at the top of her head, she has dark blond hair which is cut into a short wispy baby cut which frames that adorable face.  She is wearing a custom made hair band with large pink satin ribbon bow.
I designed this precious hair bow to match her adorable pink onesie with pink satin carnation.  I took pale pink satin ribbon and made into a large bow.  I cut pink satin stretch hair band to fit the dolls head perfectly.  I then hand sewed the bow to the top of the hair band which allows it to stand upright and securely on the dolls head.  As you go down to her face, she has single brown line for eyebrows.  She has beautiful open/close blue sleep eyes which have their original thick eyelashes.  One eye does stick which needs help opening up.  Oh so sweet and precious!
She has a dainty little nose with open nostrils for realism which flows down to her rose bud shape lips.  Her lips are painted pastel pink closed mouth.  Her chubby baby cheeks have beautiful pink coloring.  The back of her neck is hallmarked:  "Sayco Doll Corp.".  She is a larger baby doll measuring approximately 18" long.
Her head, arms and legs are vinyl with her body being that of cloth.  The thumb finger on the right hand has a chew on it, but it is on the underside and does not show.  It's been there all the years I've owned her and never knew it till I started listing it.  As I mentioned above, I completely took this vintage baby doll and removed all the old stuffing and restored the body.  All the horrible dirty stuffing was removed.  I have a special solution I use to soak these dolls in which removes almost all stains and definitely all the dirt.  I soak them for a couple days.  Then she is rinsed and left to soak for another day in a conditioning solution.   The body is then hung outside on a line and dries for several days in the fresh air.  While the body is being cleaned, I take her head and remove all the stuffing in the head and soak her head and put my softening and shine solution on her hair.  By the time the body is dried, her head is usually ready too.  When I re-stuff the body, I try not to put too much filler in so her body feels like a real baby.  She is nice and clean and ready to be displayed and loved.
As most of you who follow me know, I pick their outfits based upon the way their faces look and what they speak to my heart.  With this precious face, I knew she needed to be in pink.  As I'm sure you can tell by my dolls, pink is my favorite color and with the beautiful coloring on this dolls face, she just had to be in something pink.  I put her in a pink cotton onesie which I hand sewed a sweet pink satin carnation to the neckline.  The onesie has short sleeves which come to about middle of her arm.  There are three metal snaps in the crotch area for easy wear and removal. To complete the outfit, I decided she needed to be in a very full bubble gum pink tutu which blends beautifully with her pink onesie.   I added pink satin bow to the front of the pink onesie for additional pink color.  She is wearing pink and white floral cotton pants with footies under her very full bubble gum pink tutu.   To keep the footies in place, she has pink satin ribbon which I've tied into large bows on the front of each foot.
This sweetie will be coming to her new home with her very own hot pink teddy bear.  The teddy bear has pellets in it which allows the bear to snuggle against her body or arms.  Oh so sweet!
My dolls are not played with by children who come and visit; I know that sounds mean, but sometimes they play too rough.  My dolls are kept in a doll room specifically for them and are displayed for everyone to enjoy.  All my dolls are truly loved and cared for as though they were my children.  Their clothes are either original to the doll, made by me, or I've tried finding doll clothing from the same era as the doll or find clothing which match the personality of the doll.  We do not smoke and I try very hard to keep a tidy clean home free of dust and odor.  My dolls are clean and most of the time look as though they did when they were sold new.   Depending on how old they are, I do try to be honest in detailing if some of the dolls have bruises, missing toes or fingers or other issues, but that doesn't mean they aren't worth having; for each one is like children.....they are all beautiful in their mothers eyes.  If I've missed something it would never be intentional.
SIZE:
This is a larger size baby doll measuring approximately 18" tall.  Her hot pink teddy bear measures approximately 8" tall.
CONDITION:
She is vintage, but her body has been completely restored.  All the nasty, dirty stuffing was removed and soaked in a disinfecting solution which allows the fabric to look new once more.  She looks like a brand new doll with no smells or odors.  Her precious pink onesie is new and has never been worn by another doll. Her bubble gum pink tutu is new and was purchased just for her.  One of her eyes wants to stick, but will open with a bit of help.  She has her original eyelashes which are nice and thick.  Her thumb finger has a nick out of the bottom side of it from one of her mommies loving her.   We are an older couple and are Covid free.  We have been home bound since March 2020 and remain away from others.  The photos really tell the story about this doll.  She is a beautiful doll and one of a kind.  Please view complete set of photos for thorough description.  I hope you can take a few minutes to look at my other dolls.  God bless you.  Connie
